I took a little break from my writing routine over the past couple of weeks. This is mostly due to my recent nuptials and its subsequent activities like traveling the world with my new husband and frolicking about in general newlywed merriment. Needless to say, it’s been awesome.
I’ve been blessed to learn about the art of listening through the examples set by others. I’ve watched people approach conversations from a place of love and understanding, when many would simply seek for the opportunities to insert their advice and judgement. To be able to sit in a position of non-judgement while listening to someone share his/her experience with you is like a superpower and should not be taken for granted.
